Expanding our Heritage Centre

The heritage and culture of Australian racing is in our DNA. Since the first running of the Melbourne Cup in 1861, the VRC has been here to celebrate and promote the best of Australia's racing heritage.

Help us bring a national focus to our current Heritage Centre, with plans for a new and immersive Racing Museum. It will commemorate the Melbourne Cup's past, and honour those who help shape this national event each year.

The VRC has been part of the Australian community since our inception in 1864, and has always believed we can only be as strong and healthy as the local, national and industry communities in which we serve. We recognise these relationships are all important to our business and operations, so we intend to actively partner with educational institutions to facilitate training in racing, hospitality and event management.
